Generous Herbs is an organic apothecary based on Tongva land in Long Beach, California.
We acknowledge we are guests on these lands and work towards a restorative relationship by uplifting native voices and movements while focusing on restoring soil and growing California native fauna and flora.
We grow and source from small local farms that help nourish people, animals, fungi, soil, and non human kin.
We are rooted in Traditional Ecological Knowledge and regenerative agriculture.
Traditional Ecological Knowledge are ancestral practices of being in reciprocity with Earth by using techniques from indigenous cultures.
Generous Herbs stemmed from Carina’s love and passion for tending to the Earth.
Her ancestral linage descends from the Mixtec region of Southern Puebla, Mexico. She is an ethnobotanist who is passionate about connecting plants & culture.
Devoted to learning from indigenous cultures on weaving, natural dyeing, land tending, and seed saving.
